You will have to take my word for it, even though the pictures don’t show it, there really were 14 pizza on the dinner menu tonight – each different than the last. Twelve of them were consumed on site and two went home with us. There was also bread pudding. There was a lot of wine, and for some of us the night still remains blurry. Having had a lot of pizza in our travels, we all agreed that the best pizza we had was in Italy – hands down. Pizza in Rome in the little bakery outside our apartment was simply superb but it paled in comparison to Treviso or Levanto both of which were simply amazing. Still pizza in Arezzo was in a class of its own. At the end of the night we all agreed that home made pizza in a fire burning oven at Jeff’s can easily compete with the best pizzas we had in Italy – it simply is that good.
Please please build a wood burning oven in your back yard
If you are doing the required concrete testing we are starting one in the spring! Not only is the pizza phenomenal out of it – so is the bread, as I mentioned it is on par with the best pizzas we had in Italy!
