Despite our prefuse protests, we are 7 months in and in Poland for the 3rd time. However, having said that, this is the first time we are here for holidays. No passports, no paper work, no government offices to visit. We did an afternoon run leaving Nuremberg at 1:30pm and arrived in Warsaw at 8:40pm with two stops. It’s 974km door to door and the road is great, even with summer tires still on.
That’s a math problem waiting to be solved. I’ll need to know how long your stops were before I start figuring out your average speed. And enjoy the ancestral homeland!
I would say the stops were about 10 to 15 min all together. However, I was under the impression that like Germany, the toll highway in Poland also had no speed limit which apparently is not the case. Luckily – no police and not a lot of traffic.
In speed news – I know someone here in Denmark who was going 58 in a 50 zone. They got a 1000DKK fine! Talk about hefty. I’ll spend my day working out my math problem!
… And do not forget the 5 toll booths at least 2 to 3 min time loss on each.
Meanwhile – it’s about 140kph on average. Give or take. It took me days 😉
