We are back to Venice for a second look. There are a lot of things we did not have the time to see the first time around so we are back for more. This time we are doing it a bit differently. We wanted to drive out to Venice park the car and take the ferry to historical Venice. That did not quite work out the way we planned. We missed the exit so we ended on the bridge to Venice, there we missed off the turnoff to the parking and we got off the island, so we had to circle around and get back onto the bridge again. Technically then we came to Venice twice today. Long story short, we finally got back onto the island, we parked the car, we got onto the water taxi and got to St. Mark Square from the canal side. It is a great journey and if you are planning on seeing Venice and are on time budget this is the way to do it. You get some great views of the city, you see a lot of great sites and get there relaxed and ready to go. We walked back to the car to explore and see more of the tiny streets, visit some shops and of course have some gelato.
