Today we are heading to Bransk, a small town of about 4000 people in the eastern part of Poland. We are picking up some more documents and visiting family. On 18 January 1493, Brańsk received a city charter based on Magdeburg rights from the Grand Duke of Lithuania, Alexander Jagiellon. It was the first city in Podlaskie to receive such a charter. Small town in the middle of nowhere rocking a 10mbps internet to every house that wants it for $10/month – that is unbelievable.
We spent about 9 hours visiting and eating, but mostly eating, then drove home to Warsaw after another busy day. We are coming home with a trunk full of food – just because we did not eat it all there or we did not eat enough of it. We are “eating” lightweights here.
