Placed stragegically close to our hotel is Budapest’s legendary – New York Cafe.  Voted as one of 10 most beautiful cafes in the world – this newly renovated cafe was a longtime center for Hungarian literature arts and poetry, right from its opening on October 23, 1894.  This truly is a dazzling and spectacular place, a true place of occasion.  First order of business, after checking in and parking, was to visit this place sit down, have a coffee and a Bellini and a wonderful dessert, like poppyseed mouse cake with plum ice cream and black current tart with green apple and basil sauce.  This weekend will not be kind to our waistline.
