After a lovely dinner on the Prague Castle side of town, in the same restaurant we ate last year, we went for a stroll to walk off the 4 tonnes of food we consumed before heading home. Let me see if I remember the meal. Beef goulash soup in a bread bowl, fries, potato mushroom soup, and deep fried potato dumplings, fried cheese, salmon tartar, bread, spicy butter, Prague plate with roasted duck, sausages, Prague smoked ham, potato dumplings, bread dumplings, potato pancakes and sweet cabbage , apple strudel, old fashioned Prague ricotta pancakes with blueberries and cream, coffee, tea and two bottles of water. A suitable meal for a small village or a family of 4, all for under €60. What were we thinking!!!!! Actually what we were thinking is that Vinárna U Laury serves the best fried cheese in Prague, and everything else looked so good so we had to try it.
Ok, I have read enough about this fried cheese you speak of…..can this me on the menu for our first dinner upon your return to YEG? Pllllleeeeeaaasssee!
What’s with the random mammoth??
Just keeping you on your toes.
