On a more upbeat note, a short distance from the cemetery is a quaint little place called  Hesperiden Garden.  It has a number of small whimsical statues we saw at the German National Museum on Wednesday.  Other than a lot of paths and hedges there are some fountains and of course a restaurant and a coffee shop for no German should ever be more than 200 meters away from a proper refreshment.
