This place is no Zeller Bistro but we are out trying something new. Tonight we are at Lado Cafe. This little place, is where the locals hang out to have a dinner and listen to some live jazz or blues. Tonight is a live jazz show. Frankly we did not have the time to take photos of our appetizers – we just got down to it but the dinner went like this. Tonight we are supporting PETA – People Eating Tasty Animals. For me Steak Tartar about 1 pound portion of very well spiced and tasty raw beef, Goose Liver Paté with sweet onion chutney for Anna – delicious! Those were our starters. For main course I had Steak Strips with Wild Mushroom Sauce and Rice, and Traditional Hungarian Stew with Home made short noodles for Anna. The kids shared Beef Stogonoff with potato croquets – ordered mostly for the amazing potato croquets. For dessert Crème Brûlée and Crapes filled with home made strawberry jam which you can also buy to take home. A bit of champagne and an espresso and to finish it off a gorgeous glass of Aszú 3 Puttonyos Tokaji a truly delectable Hungarian dessert wine. The band was great, the atmosphere was great and the dinner and the experience was also great.
