The drive down to The Netherlands was not bad.  The drive through Denmark was easy, and uneventful.  The drive in the initial part of Germany was good too.  The drive on the west side of Germany was excruciatingly painful.  We got stuck in a 5km traffic which by the time we cleared it grew to 7km.  This has cost us about 50 min in delays.  Finally closer towards the Dutch border the roads opened up, but the wind was fairly strong so we had to go relatively slow.  Despite the fact that the car is quite loaded with 5 people and suitcases it would feel quite unsettled with the high wind.  It started to rain when we got closer to Amsterdam but by the time we got to our hotel and parked it was just windy.  Finally, we have arrived.
