After visiting the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica we decided to visit a couple of other churches. These were simply on our way from point A to point B but we though it would be worth the effort to see if these smaller less impressive buildings will still have the same effect as they used to. Truth be told they still do, they are still unique, wonderful and beautiful inside with their own history, charm and charisma.
Very nice!! Which ones are these, do you know? We’re not really church people and in fact usually skip them, but when in Rome…. 😉 Anyhoo, when we were there we went to see one called St. Maria Trastevere in Basilica and it was seriously awesome and in such an authentic neighborhood off the beaten path. (Relatively anyways). Close to the Campo dei Fiori and just on the other side of the river. I know heres billions of churches there, but this was just my 2 cents. 🙂
The two churches we went to were on the way back from St. Peter’s Basilica on the other side of the river on our way towards the Pantheon. The first one is called Sant’Agnese in Agone and the second one was called Sant’Ignazio Church.
