After dinner is gelato time and a quick look at what is what in Nuremberg so that we can plan lots of walks and photo sessions. Summer is coming and we should be back to 28C by Monday or Tuesday – we can’t wait.
Here’s hoping you get the hot weather. Have been following along on my weather app, and 15 & clouds with rain is *not* acceptable!!! Also – who’s your latest guest?
Our latest guest is my good friends Mac. He is the one who takes those awesome family pictures for us every year for the last few years. The weather today was nice, got up t 23C in Frankfurt and 20C here despite the fact that my weather app said rain and clouds. I am not sure where these apps get this data from but at least here was gorgeous.
I have really grown to love Nuremberg, good choice on the home base – was there any reason why you chose it for your time in Europe? And if you were going to do it all lover again, where in Italy would you have lived?
That is a good question. We originally came to Nuremberg to visit a friend of mine I went to grade 7 and 8 with and we just loved it here – so we decided to come back for a bit longer. Nuremberg is simply beautiful it has it all yet it is not huge and very spread out. The old town is phenomenal and the castle just just an icing on the cake, but it is not the thing to see in the old town. Nuremberg is also very central to Europe for our taste. In 3 hours or less we can be in France, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Poland and I am sure I am forgetting something else.
Oh boy, if we had to do it all over again, it would be a toss up between France and Italy, I don’t think I could honestly decide between the two. However, if we had to go to Italy, it would have to be pretty much anywhere in Tuscany, somewhere around San Gimignano perhaps. I think all Italy is beautiful and we love going back there but there is just something about those rolling Tuscan hills with the tall skinny cypress trees that is quite unforgettable. For big cities, I think Siena over Florence that is for sure. That is a tough one, I think we need to explore that a bit more..
Honestly if we had to pick a place we would like to visit once again on this trip it would be Budapest! But no matter where you go and where you start, it is going to be wonderful and unforgettable.
Any where you go – it will be awesome because each country is so different that your experience is going to be phenomenal no matter where you go, but Italy would be a good place to start, you can’t go wrong with Tuscany. There is a reason why we have been here so many times already and keep going back for more…

Wow that is awesome, love that it has so many perks. I think for Europe, Italy will be our first stop, so that is very helpful, thanks,
Happy trails

Fair enough, I should go back and check out your pics from there
