Today, after lazing around after breakfast, and then lounging by the pool for a couple of hours, we decided to take a little lavender drive through Provence. As it turns out we are a bit late to the lavender party as the first harvest has already been taken and the new flowers are not going to be out for a while yet. There were a few patches of lavender here and there but nothing worthy of a beautiful postcard. The fields we did find, we could not find a way to get to them so we abandoned the idea and went exploring instead. This little village was our turn around point. The village sits on a huge limestone aquifer with some 200 sink holes surrounding it. One day this village will disappear into a giant sinkhole, but for now the views are quite spectacular.
