Part of The Louvre is dedicated to Napoleon, a man who collected a lot of the art that is currently on display here. I am not sure if opulent and ostentatious are words that do justice to his pad, but it is a start.
Courtyard, or our back yard has two trees, both maples, one is 6 and the other one is about 7 stories high. They are just starting to turn yellow and drop their leaves.
Finally we are connected. Our internet has arrived in a small box today. For now we are running off of a HSDPA USB stick for the next few days until the line is activated. Once that happens our connection speed should increase at least 10 fold!

It’s official after much searching and a lot of fiddling around we fitted the kitchen in today and made a first proper cooked home dinner tonight. We feel so civilized.

We finally have a fridge! It is now the only thing in out kitchen that works and is assembled. Also we have the first customer checking it out. Of course we brought this in the Alfa, its a car that keeps on giving.

Sunday is a perfect day for brunch. Today we went to the downtown apartment and had lunch with Volker’s mom and two great Danes, who have been our neighbours for the last two months. This is a proper way to laze around 6 hours – sitting around and drinking and eating.
We have finally got our lease papers. Looks like we are going to be moving.
Today we are signing a rent deal on our new home. We can’t wait to have a place of our own – I think it will be spectacular, and we are all ecstatic.
