Today is officially Volker’s 60 birthday. We have been celebrating for the last two days but today it cumulated with a proper 6 hour German Lunch. Five courses, plus two extra desserts, plenty of wine and some great company. This charming little place is in Boxdorf – a tiny town between Nuremberg and Großgründlach.

Today is the day when everyone in this family can measure their age with two digits. Joining the club is the littlest one – Evelina, turning 10 today and proud of it. Happy Birthday! Thank you all for your wishes, cards and gifts, it really made her day today.
It appears that each special occasion cumulates with a visit to our favorite pizza joint. L’Osteria is then our place of occasion here in Nuremberg.

After a great dinner we headed home for cakes, coffee and presents. This was a great birthday and while we could not have everyone we would like to have here it was still a happy day for Boris.
Big day. Boris is turning 14 today and his wish was to spend time with friends and family at L’Osteria. I think everyone was only too happy to oblige. We still love the pizza and the atmosphere there, and so does everyone we take there. A great place with amazing food.
The little Dane is turning 13 today. We went out to one of out favourite sausage restaurants today and followed it with a cake at home. It is true that we have moved in to our new apartment but for now we still have more furniture in boxes that we have furniture that is assembled. […]

My wife is turning 29 today, once again. A great excuse to go out for a pizza. Kids in bed, and we are out on town.
