Monza is an integral part of F1. It is one of the first 7 tracks that hosted the F1 championship in 1950. Since then 64 F1 races were run in Italy and all but one were held at Monza. Monza together with Monaco, Silverstone in England, and Spa in Belgium are four of the original tracks still used today since their first 1950 F1 race. The only time F1 was not run at Monza it was run at the San Marino track, it is also where one of the best drivers in F1 died – Senna.
This is an amazing track. I stressed over the tickets as I couldn’t decide where to sit. I think I have chosen well, in fact I think if I ever come back here I would get the same seats, they were absolutely perfect. All the best F1 action happens on the first chicane. It was a great race! After the race all the fans poured out onto the track and essentially took everything that was not bolted down, welded or otherwise permanently attached to the track or the wall. Simply phenomenal. What a day to remember.
Tomek, but we all don’t know the most important thing. Who won?
Well our boy Lewis Hamilton won, I did not want to spoil it.
