Today we went to visit Volker’s mom for a Sunday lunch. She lives on the other side of Nuremberg in a beautiful home with a pool, backing onto a huge park and some impressive trees. The most prized possession in her garden is a heritage peony flower that grows more like a shrub with wood branches and flowers that are the size of dinner plates. On the way back form the house we went through the town instead of the ring road. We also drove by the old Nazi Party Rally Grounds. Today these grounds are a huge park where people go biking and race their cars.
